Annie Porter Obituary
Susie Evans Porter, 71, wife of Freddie Lee Porter, passed away on January 21, 2026, in Florence, South Carolina. Susie was a daughter of the late Jacob Evans and Margaret Evans DePrima, born on July 1, 1954, in Clarendon County, South Carolina, she lived a life rooted in faith, family, and a love for sports.
A member of Brewington Presbyterian Church, Susie found strength and community through her faith. Her presence was a constant source of warmth and support to those around her.
Susie had a lifelong passion for athletics. She especially enjoyed watching the lady Gamecocks basketball team. Among the many joys in her life, none shone brighter than her grandson Thomas Lee. Her affection for him was boundless and brought her immense happiness.
She is survived by her loving husband Freddie Porter; daughter Christi Porter Smith; grand-son Thomas Lee Smith; brothers Tommy (Susan) Evans Sr. and Rickie (Beth) Evans; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews
Susie was preceded in death by her sister Jackie Norris and her brother Henry Buck Evans.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May it bring comfort to those who mourn her passing.
