Annie Grace Shehorn Ross, 84, of Elgin, died on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Born in Kershaw County, on July 26, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Levey and Annie Met Shehorn. Mrs. Ross was a loving mother and grandmother who was a devoted member of International Praise Church of God. She was always happy, caring, making others smile and had a funny personality. Her hobbies were working in her yard, reading her Bible, singing, going to church and sewing. Mrs. Ross enjoyed cooking and was famous for her chicken and dumplings, lima beans and homemade biscuits.
Survivors include her beloved and cherished family; daughter, Wanda Ann Rhodes (Michael); grandchildren, Crystal Marie Rhodes and Michael Alan Rhodes; great grandchildren, Dustin Bilal Whitlock, Kylie Marie Whitlock, Payton Ray Whitlock; siblings, Molly Louise Blizzard and Billy Gene Shehorn (Kim); as well as many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Olin DeWitt Ross; and granddaughter, Tiffany Ann Hornsby; and siblings, Betty Lou Holt, Levi Shehorn Jr., and Molly Marie Stewart.
The funeral service for Mrs. Ross will be held at 1 o'clock, Tuesday, January 18th, at International Praise Church of God, 5071 Percival Rd, Elgin, SC 29045, with Pastor Doyle Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
