Wade Funeral Home & Crematory - ArlingtonAnn Helen Warren, beloved mother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, at the age of 86. She was born on August 20, 1939, in Rio Grande City, Texas, and remained a proud Texan throughout her life, making her home in Arlington at the time of her passing.
Ann was a devoted mother to her son, Eugene Wang, and three daughters: Ruth Wang Shorey, Esther Wang Webb, and Susan Wang Tritch.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Wenonah Warren, her father, Arnold Warren, her sister, Linda Warren, and daughters Ruth Shorey and Susan Tritch. She is survived by daughter Esther Webb and son Eugene Wang, son-in-law Kevin Shorey and wife Emma, grandchildren: Bethany Shorey Fennell and husband Henry Fennell and sons Cedric and Jude; K’Leigh Shorey and sons Aidan and Ryan Delorme; Jonathan Shorey and wife Kaylen and sons Lennie and Calvin; Andrew Shorey and wife Madison and children Blair, Aubrey, and Cohen; Timothy Shorey and wife Melissa and children Tristan, Evie, and Henry John; and Wesley Shorey.
In addition to loving her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Ann loved reading, telling stories, knitting, crocheting, classical music, and animals, particularly her cats Origami and Maya.
She was a devoted Methodist, and was a long-time member of First United Method Church in Paris, Texas, as well as First United Methodist Churches in Hallsville, Texas, and Kennedale, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to cat rescue or to First United Methodist Church in Kennedale, Texas.
