Annie Mae Wilmoth

Annie Mae Garris Wilmoth, age 88, of 629 Oakland Drive, Elkin, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Wilmoth was born in Surry County on December 24, 1921 to the late William M. and Emma Prevette Garris. Annie was of the Baptist Faith, she was an avid gardener, took pride in her roses and flowers. She was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years Coy Eldon Wilmoth, three brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by four children, Jerry E. Wilmoth and wife Yolanda of Tampa, Florida, Wayne C. Wilmoth and wife Mary of Stuart , VA, Larry James Wilmoth of El Paso , Texas, and Priscilla W. Nance and husband Dallas of Clemmons, NC. Two brothers, Robert L. Garris of Richmond, VA and John J. Garris of Lexington, NC and a sister Juanita Richardson of Kannapolis, NC. Ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, 1:00 p.m., April 20, 2010 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Johnny Blevins and Richard Wilmoth. The Wilmoth family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens.
