Ms. Annie Kate Workman

Ms. Annie Kate Nation Workman, age 75, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday afternoon, December 1, 2011 at the local hospital. Kate was born June 3, 1936 a daughter of the late Rosco James and Allen Maynard Brandon Nation. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Lee Guinn, her daughters, Janice K. Orr, Ginger Turoski, Debbie Hughey and Tammy Elaine Guinn; brothers, Jimmy Nation and John Nation. Kate is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy L. and Cindy Guinn of Dalton, GA; daughters, Darla Jane Newport, Patsy Sue Guinn, Windy Gail Guinn all of Dalton, GA, Traci Michelle Guinn of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren, Carla Huggins, Taylor Guinn, Destiny Guinn; sister, Margie Bramblett of Dalton, GA; several other grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many special friends. Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Annie Kate Nation Workman will be held Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Steele officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Saturday.
