We celebrate the life of Antanishia Kristi Gates Williams, who departed her earthly body into spiritual eternal rest on Friday, October 4, 2024. Surrounded by her loving family during her transition, Antanishia is remembered as a devoted, nurturing, and beloved wife, mother, daughter, sibling, and cherished friend whose kindness, strength, wit, and resolute faith shaped every part of her life, impacting everyone she met.

Born on May 18, 1981, in El Paso, TX, to William Lucus Gates and Anna R. Antanishia is preceded in death by her loving father, William Lucus Gates; her cherished grandmother, Lillie Ruth Sakil; her brother-in-law, Howlett Wayne Strayhorn; and her precious niece, Deseriann Shantell Strayhorn. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, carried forward by her husband, James Joseph Williams; her beautiful children, Siyanne Aaliah Parchment-Williams, Divine Alishia Williams, Devin Christopher Williams, and Zeshawn Messiah Williams; her adored grandson Prince Kaliah Mercy Williams; her loving mother, Anna R. Wright; her dear siblings: Felicia Shanton Payne, Monique Rochell Strayhorn, William L. Gates Jr., and Darline Dominguez. She also cherished and remembered by a host of family and friends.
