Shirley Rhoades Obituary
YORKSHIRE - Shirley A. Rhoades of Yorkshire, passed away on Saturday (Feb. 26, 2022) at her residence, at the age of 92.
She was born June 22, 1929, in Johnstown, Pa., a daughter of the late Ellis and Lois (Naugle) Dick. Her husband, William H. Rhoades, Sr. who she married in 1954, in Jacksonville, Fla., passed away in 1990.
She was a member of the Franklinville VFW Women's Auxiliary and enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills and the New York Mets. She also enjoyed bird and squirrel watching.
Shirley was a machine operator for Fisher Price in Holland for 32 years.
She is survived by her children, Gordon (Vicki) Rhoades of Mesa, Ariz., Charles (Michelle) Rhoades of Chaffee, William (Margie) Rhoades of Yorkshire, Deborah Childs of Arcade, Billee Steiner of Laurens, S.C., Tina (Bob) Kirsch of Springville, Darlene (Paul) Thompson of Eagle and Tammy (Paul) Barrett of Peckville, Pa.; her siblings, Dennis (late Violet) Dick of Sardinia, Wanda (late Jack) McKeown of Pauldin, Ariz. and Sharon (late Jack) Tousley of Yorkshire; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Janet (Bruce) Kramer, Chuck Dick, Don (Marva) Dick, Ronald Dick, Leah (Norm) Wiedeman and infant Brenda Dick.
There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in Mt. Prospect Cemetery in Franklinville.
