Anthony Calise Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Woodlawn Funeral Home - Cranston on Mar. 6, 2026.
Anthony P. Calise, 84, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. Born in Providence on June 22, 1941, he was the son of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Carnevale) Calise and the brother of the late Vincent M. Calise.

Anthony graduated from LaSalle Academy in 1959 and went on to serve proudly in the U.S. Air Force Reserve with the 433rd Airlift Wing in San Antonio, Texas. He later built a long and fulfilling career as an Interior Decorator, creating meaningful, one of a kind spaces for his clients.

Anthony traveled widely-from Egypt to Japan-cultivating a deep appreciation for the many cultures he encountered.

Anthony was also an avid boater, a passion that began in his youth growing up at Conimicut Point. Over the years he owned several boats, including the Funkey II, which he kept docked in Key West, Florida, a place he cherished.

He leaves behind his daughters, Lora Calise and her husband, Mark Biller, and Kristen Rubino and her husband, Joseph Rubino; as well as his six beloved grandchildren: Renata Balasco, Christopher Balasco, Benjamin Rubino, Leah Rubino, Mia Rubino, and Sophia Rubino. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Jeanette Calise of Boynton Beach, Florida.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 10, from 4pm until 7pm in the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. His funeral will be held at 8:45am Wednesday, March 11, at the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are greatly appreciated to HopeHealth Hospice and Palliative Care.
