Janice Boatwright Watkins

As an aunt, I often reminisce and see Tony as the child he was, despite the wonderful man he became. My first memory of Tony is from the day I held him. I was overjoyed because he was small, and I wasn't afraid of dropping him. He was one of the cutest babies, always laughing and giggling.
As a kid, he wanted to keep up with the other children, but we had to watch him closely due to his asthma and allergies. I tried not to embarrass him by constantly asking if he was okay when he took breaks, but he would look at me and reassure me, "I'm okay, Auntie." Eventually, he started asking me, "You alright, Auntie?"
While everyone was careful with him, he naturally became the one looking out for everyone else. My heart is aching, and even though I know he is at peace and reunited in Heaven with some of our favorite people, his physical absence leaves a void here on earth.
