Anthony Chiapparelli

1934 - 2025

Anthony Chiapparelli, 91, a lifetime resident of Greensburg and Jeannette, died on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, in the comfort of the home he loved with his wife Sandra's loving care. He was born in Jeannette on Jan. 24, 1934, the youngest son of the late Cesare and Anna Chiapparelli. Anthony was a psychologist for the state of Pennsylvania and had his own private practice in the Pittsburgh area. He started the first speech pathology program for several local school districts. He also MC'd many banquets in the Pittsburgh and Greensburg area for various clubs and groups. Anthony was Catholic by faith. He was a member of the local Elks and Eagles chapters. He served his country in the Army National and International Guard during the Korean War. Anthony loved all things outdoors. He was an avid golfer, cross-country skier, hunter, hiker, and bird and animal lover. Most of all, Anthony was a very positive person. When he lost his right arm to cancer nine years ago, he said, "Nothing is as bad as it seems. I'll figure it out." He continued to be a gourmet cook for his wife and friends, ride with his golf buddies, enjoy the game, and do all the other activities he loved. In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his wonderful sister, Dora; and brothers, Arthur and William Chiapparelli. Anthony will be deeply missed by his wife, Sandra; nieces, Rhoma Carlson, Karen Battiston, and Rene Robinson; and his grand-nieces, Marnie and Rachel, whom he was very proud of. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services for Anthony will be private, and interment will be at Twin Valley Cemetery/Mausoleum in Delmont.
