Dr. Anthony Curinga

Born to the late Rocco and Alice Salerno Curinga in Peekskill NY on May 27, 1941 . He attended Archbishop Stepinac HS, (1958) St. Francis College in Loretta PA,(1962) and Columbia University School of Dental & Oral Surgery. (1966) He entered The US Army where he completed a General dentistry residency. After 4 years of active duty, Captain Curinga returned to civilian life in Montrose, NY, where he opened a dental practice. After 39 years he retired and opened a B&B in Beach Haven, NJ.

Tony married the love of his life Cheryl Chamberlain on October 13, 1990. She worked beside him in his dental practice and B&B until they retired to The Villages FL. They enjoy entertaining, cooking, golf, music, painting and much more. Tony joined Rotary in 1995 in Peekskill, NY. He became very involved and hosted many exchange students. Transferred to Rotary LBI then The Villages. He was also a 10 year member of The Villages Pops Chorus.

Tony is survived by his wife Cheryl, children Mark Curinga, Laurie Cornall (Mark) AZ, Kara Peiffer (Ken) FL and Allison Pennisi (Mike) NY. Grandchildren: Melanie Dayton (Austin) & Jacob Thiebert AZ and Owen and Charlie Pennisi NY. SIL Donna Curinga and BIL Floyd Miller NY, And Many Nieces and Nephews.

Tony is preceded in death by brothers, Rocco and Richard Curinga; sister, Deborah Curinga Miller; daughter in law, Sharon Curinga.
