Anthony D'Agostino

I have known Tony since we first met at Ann Arbor High School in 1948. Over the years Tony was a wonderful friend and I remember driving him to School my sophomore year. It was my first old jalopy and were never sure we would make it, but we had a lot of fun.
Tony introduced me to some music concerts, and we went to Detroit several times
One of my fond memories was my calling him every New Years Eve and we would listen to Guy Lombardo bringing in the New Year. Sadly we didn't do it this year.
I believe Tony missed his calling. He should have been a stand-up comedian. Tony had at his repertoire, hundreds of very funny jokes. whatever the subject Tony would at an instant come up with a joke to fit the occasion. I was always amazed at this, because my joke recall if I was lucky could maybe last an hour
I admired Tony because he loved his family and children. He was very proud of his children and often talked about their accomplishments, and it was reciprocated by them as well.
Getting back to Tony's jokes, I know when he gets to the Pearly Gates, he will have a joke for St. Peter which will gain him immediate entrance into our Lord's kingdom. I am sure after all these centuries, Heaven can use some fresh levity.
I will miss Tony, especially when we ring in the New Year. God Bless, Rick
