Anthony J DeCroce

Anthony J. DeCroce, 81, of Barnegat, NJ peacefully passed away with his wife Maria by his side on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
Born and raised in Newark, NJ, he moved to Barnegat, NJ in 2003 after his retirement.
Tony retired as a Postmaster for the Towaco Post Office after many years of service.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Maria, his loving daughters; Trish Muro, Denise Calvitto (Louis), Maria Bruggemann (Andrew) and Toni Ann Hayden (Thomas), his step-sons, Michael Weber (Suzy) and Daniel Weber, and his devoted sister, Marlene Lazaro. Tony is also survived by his cherished grandchildren; Anthony Muro,Courtney Scheer Durante, Gianna Calvitto Petrillo,Paige Atkinson, Jordan Atkinson, Brandon Scheer, Justin Bruggemann, Nicholas Bruggemann and Kholé Weber, and his precious great-grandchildren; Lucianna, A.J. Jr., Mark, Nina,Jaxx, Jaeson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Tony was an avid Yankee fan, he enjoyed watching the Giants, and he enjoyed playing billiards with his buddies in his clubhouse. Tony loved all kinds of animals, especially his dogs.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tony's name may be sent to either the COPD Foundation or to Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter
A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 11:00Am-1:00 PM with a prayer service at 12:30PM at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ.
