Anthony "Jermaine" DeHart, age 51, of Orrville, also known as "half pint" or "coop", passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at his residence, following a period of declining health.
Anthony was born on September 21, 1974, in Massillon, Ohio, to Nate Stoudmire and Pamela DeHart Gable. He graduated from Orrville High School in 1993 and later earned his associate degree from the University of Akron Wayne College. On September 18, 2003, he married the love of his life, Stephanie Bohlen, in Wooster. Stephanie survives.
He was employed as a Behavioral Health Specialist for Mohican Young Star Academy and previously worked at The Village Network in Wooster.
Anthony was a member of American Legion Post 282. He enjoyed coaching and playing basketball, he was a part of the 1992 Orrville State Championship team. He also enjoyed watching football, and was known for his great sense of style. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family-especially his children-and was deeply passionate about his work and the young people he served.
In addition to his wife, Stephanie, he is survived by his two sons, Chris "CJ" DeHart of Atlanta, GA, and Anthony Payton DeHart of Orrville; his father, Nate (stepmother Rose) Stoudmire; sister, Minister Markeya Stoudmire of Akron; brother, Terrence (Jeannine) Waters of Jacksonville, FL; maternal grandmother, Mattie DeHart of Orrville; mother and stepfather-in-law, JoEllen and Robert "Jeff" Paugh of Howard; brothers-in-law, John Bohlen of Orrville, Mark Paugh who is currently serving with the Air Force, and Mike Paugh of Howard; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pamela DeHart Gable; brother, Christopher S. Miller; maternal grandfather, Earl DeHart Sr.; paternal grandparents, Rev. Hazell and Lurene Stoudmire, and father-in-law Joseph Bohlen.
Friends may call on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Orrville Christian Church, 925 North Elm Street, Orrville, from 10:00 am to 11:15 am.
Funeral services will follow at 11:30 am at the church, with Pastor Sherman Martin officiating and Pastor Gary DeHart giving the eulogy. Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Orrville Area Boys & Girls Club, 820 N. Ella Street, Orrville, OH 44667, www.oabgc.org
