Anthony Dell'Angelo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clark Associates Funeral Home on Feb. 26, 2026.
Obituary of Anthony Dell'Angelo

Dell'Angelo, Anthony J. "Tony", 89, of Somers, formerly of Mahopac and Mount Vernon, died peacefully after a long illness on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 14, 1936, in Mount Vernon, New York, he was the son of the late John and Jennie Greges Dell'Angelo.

Tony proudly served in the National Guard beginning in 1956, carrying that same sense of duty and responsibility throughout his life. He dedicated 38 years to 3M company, commuting faithfully from White Plains to New York City - a true testament to his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to providing for his family. Tony retired in 1995.

On September 2, 1956, he married the love of his life, June Murphy. Together they built a life centered on devotion, hard work and family. In May 1958, they welcomed twins, John and Wendy, who gave him a lifetime of love and respect and were the pride and joy of his life.

Family was always at the heart of everything he did. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Ryan, Chris, Meghan, and Jenny, and a delighted great-grandfather to his cherished great-grandson, Grady Anthony. Nothing brought him greater happiness than seeing his family together.

Tony was the beloved brother of Albert Dell'Angelo of Mahopac, NY, and the late Raymond Dell'Angelo. He is survived and loved by several nieces and nephews.

He cherished his Italian heritage - especially a good plate of pasta, the timeless voice of Frank Sinatra, and the beauty of Italian opera. He enjoyed playing golf, watching television, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. He appreciated routine, loyalty and the simple comforts of home.

He will be remembered for his strength, his steady presence, and the deep devotion he showed to his family every single day. His love and values will continue to guide those who were blessed to know him. And in the end, he truly did it his way.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, New York, on Friday, March 6, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will occur during the memorial vistation.
