Dorrene "Wolfie" Cook

My best friend for over 50 years is Mr. Ditata`s daughter, Diana. I´m sad to hear this news, and grieve with her and the family in their loss. I am grateful that Providence determined for us to cross paths in this life with him. He was the epitome of a true Italian father. Not only his look and stature, but his ferocious love and desire to protect his daughter and family. I remember as a teenager having shared an inappropriate joke with Diana (written on paper) and he found it. AND he let me know in no uncertain terms that "Wolfie" that is NOT acceptable and it better never happen again. Oh my! I´m just SO glad he didn´t put an end to the friendship altigether, because that friendship has been one of the most consistent and essential blessings the good Lord has graciously provided for me in this life. She is a wonderful dispkay of the fruit of his fathering...selfless and tenaciously devoted to those she loves, blood-related or not. Priceless.
Which makes me grateful that Diana and her family were blessed to have such a good daddy and stand-up role model in their lives. Not everyone can say that. Well done Mr. Ditata! My prayer is that Diana and Vince and the entire extended family find peace and comfort during this time of loss, as they focus on and remember the precious displays of love that their patriarch provided over the years.
Rest in peace, Mr. Ditata and thank you for a life well-lived. It made a difference and positively impacted countless people.
