Anthony Ellington Obituary
Anthony "Lil Mane" Maurice Ellington, Sr., died unexpectedly on July 6, 2023. He was born on July 10, 1965, in Tuskegee, Alabama, to Gladys M. Ellington and Robert J. Ellington. Anthony moved to Cleveland, Ohio, in 1967, where he was raised.
Anthony loved and enjoyed time with his family and friends, cracking jokes, and eating. He always said, "I'm hungry," everywhere he went. He loved to barbecue, play horseshoes, and play dominoes. He had an infectious laugh that would put a smile on anyone's face. Anthony was a very genuine person and a great friend and father figure to many.
He was a devoted dad to his seven children: Anthony Maurice Ellington Jr., Shavaughn Ellington, Marlayna Ellington, Brandon Ellington, Bryana Ellington (deceased), Michol Williams, and Marcus Ellington. He was a loving brother to his sister, Larice Ellington. He also leaves to cherish his memories his four grandchildren, Aaron, Ace, Judah, and Nala, and a host of nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
Anthony was preceded in death by his daughter, Bryana Ellington; parents, Robert and Gladys Ellington; and sister, Kristi Johnson.
A wake will be held Wednesday July 19,2023 at 10am and a celebration of life to follow at 11am located at Carter Funeral Home 127 W Bridge St Elyria, OH 44035.
