It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony "Tony" Enos, 81, of East Providence, Rhode Island, on November 10, 2025, after a brief illness. Tony passed surrounded by his girlfriend, Jill Corinne (Grochala) Edgerton, and her friends.
A lifelong resident of East Providence, Tony was the son of the late Anthony Enos and Hilda Lopes. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, Gloria Jean (Simmons) Enos, a first born son, Anthony, and his brothers John, Steven, Paul, and Kenny Enos. He was the devoted father of daughter Cheryl J. Lemos and her husband Bill, sons James Enos and Russell Enos and his fiancée Janice, all of East Providence. He is survived by his brothers David Enos and Raymond Enos; his sisters Cheryl Allen and Sandra Leacy; six grandchildren, Krizia, Brittany, Raquel, Bryan, James, and Dylan; and three great-grandchildren, Violet, Milo, and Maren.
Tony cherished summers spent in Ogunquit, Maine, with his wife, children, and grandchildren. An avid sailor, he found joy on the water, cheered enthusiastically at his grandkids´ sporting events, and enjoyed trips to Foxwoods Casino.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Tony had a rewarding career at Johnson & Wales University before retiring. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 18, from 4-6 p.m. at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce Street, Westerly, RI 02891. A proper and authentic military burial with full honors will follow on November 19 at 11 AM at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI.
