Shortly after graduating, he began running Nicollet Oil Company. On July 8, 1961, Charles was united in marriage to Dianne Gieseke at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nicollet. Their union was blessed with eight children. In addition to being a father, Charles continued running Nicollet Oil Company, working as a substitute bus driver, and volunteering with the Nicollet Fire Department for 23 years. In his free time, Charles enjoyed woodworking, riding bike, going camping, being outdoors, and watching the Twins and Vikings. He especially enjoyed collecting John Deere tractor toys, going to toy shows, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Charles will be dearly missed by those that knew him. Blessed be his memory.
