Ferone, Anthony C., 82, of Bethpage, formerly of Plainview passed away peacefully after a short illness on August 4, 2021. Beloved husband of 62 joyful years to Janet. Loving father of Toni D'Agata (Scott), Michael (Lisa) and Karen Tarpey (Terence). Devoted Papa of Nicole, Kaitlyn Borea (Salvatore), Terence Tarpey III (Melanie), Jessica Tartamella (Anthony) and Samantha McGee (Robert). Proud great grandfather of Cora Summer McGee. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Anthony's family was always his first priority and he made sure to take every chance to be able to spend time with them. He always looked forward to seeing his family for Sunday macaroni dinner. Anthony loved to watch sports especially the Mets, Jets and Islanders. He earned the nickname "The Riddler" because he would start telling a story and leave out key information, so everyone listening would have to do detective work to figure out just where the story was going. Anthony's favorite number was 17, he was an avid reader and enjoyed a good medium rare steak dinner. He took pride in his appearance, referring to himself as the "Silver Fox". His outfits were, without fail, flawlessly pressed by him specifically, and always matching perfectly from head to toe. Anthony was very specific with his drink order whether it be his traditional red wine or Kettle One on the rocks with a chunk (not a slice, a chunk) of lemon in a stem glass. His family joked that he received an "honorary 4 year degree" from Marist College with his adored granddaughter, Nicole. He would visit Nicole every weekend, cleaning her dorm room and spending quality time with her. The family will receive visitors Saturday, August 7th, 9-10:30 am at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Mass Saturday, August 7th, 11 am at Our Lady. of Mercy RC Church, Hicksville. Entombment following at St. Charles Cemetery.
