Anthony Florant was born July 4, 1991 at 3:36 a.m. to Paulette Florant and Anthony Riggins in New Orleans, LA. Anthony was the 1st of 4 siblings. Unique and all smiles since the day he was born. Anthony had a way with his words. He loved spending time with his children, family, friends, and spouse, but most of all he enjoyed providing for his family. Anthony attended L.B. Landry High and later became an entrepreneur. On Saturday, September 3, 2022, Anthony was killed wrongfully to gun violence around 2:30 pm at the intersection of Murl and Magellan St. On that day, a beautiful soul was taken and will never be forgotten. Anthony will be missed by many, especially his mother, siblings, family, spouse & friends. "Those we Love can never be a thought away, long as there is a memory; they will live in our hearts to stay. He was preceded in death, along with his great-grandmother Mary Williams, his grandmother Fannie Mae Florant, grandfather Paul Gordan, his grandmother Alice County, his father Anthony Riggins, his one uncle Carl Florant, Aunt Rosalee Howard, and Aunt Patrice Florant. Anthony Florant leaves to cherish in his memories his mother Paulette Florant, his 5 children, Anthony Clayborne, Honesti Henry, Harmoni Florant, Khobe Florant and Amor Florant. His siblings, Treon, Marlon, Da'jha and Tyrone. His spouse Akimeona "Yannie" Thompson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend the Homegoing Service Friday, September 16, 2002, at St Stephen Baptist Church, 1738 L B Landry Ave., New Orleans, LA 70114 for 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 9820 9 Mile Point Rd., Westwego, LA 70094 , Pastor Robert Brown officiating.
