Anthony Garrett Forbes was born on August 28, 2000, in Gainesville, Georgia and passed away on January 9, 2026, in Longview, Texas.
Anthony was not only a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, cheering for his favorite player, Mahomes, but he also cherished moments spent with his family at the ball fields cheering on his niece as she played softball.
A big gamer at heart, he took pride in being a self-proclaimed nerd, as his family lovingly called him, knowledgeable in the realms of fantasy and adventure that video games offered. It was no secret that he also enjoyed Taylor Swift's music, proudly embracing the title of "Swiftie."
Most of all Anthony was known for his kind and loving nature, he was a person who would give you the shirt off his back, always putting others before himself.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Cheryl Koscinski; brother, Matthew and his wife Brittany Forbes; sister, Faith Koscinski and brother, Tre O’Quinn; niece, Aubrey Forbes; nephew, Noah Davis; Aunt Jennifer Toller and husband, Jeff, Uncle Billy (Boug) Forbes and wife, Denise, Aunt Jennifer Bilthius and husband, Don, Uncle Chris Koscinski and wife, Kelly, Aunt Jessica Phillips and husband, Steven; and a host of additional aunts, uncles, and cousins; along with his beloved fur babies, Bella, Izzy, Stack, and Smoke.
Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Marc Forbes, his aunt Melody (Mel) Yeary, his cousin Tyler Koscinski, and his grandparents.
Family and friends will gather to honor Anthony's memory during a visitation at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, TX, on January 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on January 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM.
