Anthony Foty Obituary
Anthony Foty Jr., 89, of Girard, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
Anthony was born May 13, 1936 in Girard, Ohio, the son of Anthony and Susan (Carson) Foty Sr.
Anthony served his country in the US Army as a paratrooper in the Korean War. He had several jobs in his lifetime, including The Ohio Leatherworks, Westing House, US Steel and eventually retired as a med specialist in the maintenance department for St. Elizabeth Hospital for 17 yrs.
He enjoyed working on cars, and had a special admiration for classic cars.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, John (Bonnie-Davis) Foty, Debbie Davis and Joseph Foty; and helped raise along with his wife, John Green, Steve Green, MaryAnn Green, Katheryn D'Agati and Thomas Green; his grandchildren, John (Natalie) Foty, Jacob Foty, Justin Davis, Mary Ellen Sprague, Nicholas D'Agati, Kyle Davis and Jennifer Davis; and his great-grandchildren, who referred to him as Papa Tony, Michael Foty, Mason Foty, Kaylee Atkins, Logan Atkins, Chase Seelbach and Sarah Seelbach.
Besides his parents, Anthony is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen (Rhan), who died April 13, 2023; his daughter in law, Michelle Foty and son in law Anthony D'Agati along with his brothers and sisters.
As per Anthony's wishes, there will be no services.
