Anthony V. Frangipane Jr

Anthony Vincent Frangipane, Jr. of New Haven passed away peacefully May 5, 2023, at his home,surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Bonnie Prete Frangipane, they were married for 61 years. Born in New Haven on June 11, 1938, son of the late Anthony and Clementina Spino Frangipane, Anthony was a proud US Army veteran. He was a machinist for United Nuclear and later worked for Sports Haven for many years. Following his retirement, he took on his favorite role as a caregiver and cheerleader of his grandchildren. Anthony enjoyed watching horse racing and was a skilled guitar and clarinet player. He is the proud father of Anthony and Michael (Regina) Frangipane. Brother of Alphonse (Donna) Frangipane. Devoted Poppy of Anthony and Natalia Frangipane. Anthony's family would like to offer their thanks for the compassionate care provided him by Connecticut Hospice Homecare.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday morning from 9:00-10:30 in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place in New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael Church at 11:00. Burial will be private.
