Anthony J. Golczak, Retired CPD Sergeant of the 18th District, passed away on August 27, 2025. Cherished son of the late Walter Golczak and Alice Golczak Greig, and beloved stepson of Robert Greig, who lovingly embraced him as his own.

Beloved husband of Barbara nee Carroll; devoted father of Anthony J. Golczak, Jr. and Kelly (Joseph) DeCarlo; treasured grandpa of Caroline, Evelyn, and Michael; loving brother of the late Maureen (Philip) Pandolfo; and a dear uncle and friend to many.

Tony always put his family first. He lived a life of service and integrity. He was a proud St. Rita alumnus, an avid horseman, and later worked as a Security Officer at Daley College. Of all his roles, being a grandpa was his greatest joy.

My sympathies to the family. He greeted me every morning with a smile. He followed the rules by making sure we swiped our id's even though he knew who we were...he protected us. Thank you Anthony. May you rest.

Tony was always a wonderful person to see at Daley College. Our chats about his grandchildren always brought joy to his face and I was glad his care for his family somehow extended to us here at the college.

I worked with Tony at Daley and he will truly be missed. He has always willing to give me helpful advice and made me laugh. We always enjoyed talking about Buccee's, his eyes just lit up! He loved Buccee's, and in his last days here, he had me bring him back $20 of chocolate bars. I will remember the smile on his face when I brought back those chocolate bars, and told me I needed to get one of those Buccee's caps for myself. He was a pleasure to work with and I will miss Tony. Rest in peace Tony!

Worked with Tony in 008. Those were the days! Talked a lot about his horse, "Y Not Kel"! Rest in peace Tony!
