I am Tony's cousin and have known him since birth (Tony's dad, Larry Hudson is my Uncle). I have fuzzy memories of Tony when I was young, we moved to Minnesota when I was 7, but as teenager I remember him coming up to Minnesota to spend time with his dad, step mom and sisters. I remember how happy and excited Uncle Larry was when he told us Tony was coming up to visit. I remember how Grandma Elsie would glow with love when she spoke of Tony and how proud she was of him. I remember Mom, Larry's sister, would love hearing the latest news of Tony each time Uncle Larry called. I regret not staying connected with Tony and his mother. The blissful memories of childhood of my cousin Tony, the loving stories mom shared about Tony and his beautiful mother, the loving look on Uncle Larry's face when he spoke of Tony, the excitement of Tess and Julie when they knew Tony was coming, and the love in Grandma's eyes when she talked about Tony. I wish I could go back in time and stay connected, but I can't. I can only pray that God is holding him tight in his loving embrace. I am glad Tony is reunited with his dad, Auntie Phil and his Grandma Elsie. God speed my cousin, you are free!

I had the privilege of knowing Tony Hudson for about 24 years. Tony often came to visit his Minnesota family (his dad Larry Hudson and sisters Tess Hamre and Julie Rice). He frequently would come for a few weeks staying with either his Dad or sister Julie and myself.
In later years, most of our visits were via the phone. Tony was very proud of his 5 nieces and 1 nephew. He always asked about them when we talked on the phone.
I remember Tony for being a big Chicago sports fan I can appreciate the Cubs and Blackhawks I don't hold his love for the Bears against him. I am thrilled that he was able to see his beloved Cubs win the World Series.
