Anthony Jerome "Petey" Carver

Anthony Jerome "Petey" Carver, passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 58. Born on February 17, 1966, in Calhoun, Georgia, Petey lived in Calhoun all his life.

Petey was the cherished son of Jerry and Edna Hall Carver of Calhoun, Georgia. In his youth, Petey was surrounded by love from his siblings: Gerald, Kanita, Greg, and Harry Lee. He shared a deep bond with his family, which only grew stronger over the years. Petey found his lifelong partner in Lori Lynn Carver, with whom he shared many precious moments and built a beautiful family.

Petey's legacy lives on through his children, Tamara Holmes (married to Kevin) and Adam Carver, and his adored grandchildren: Hunter Holmes, Kaylie Holmes, Kylie Holmes, Khole Holmes, Lakely Carver, Lily Kaye Percy, Brett Percy, and Cohen Percey. His love and guidance will forever be treasured by each generation he touched.

As a carpenter and painter, Petey's skilled hands crafted lasting memories for those he worked with. He was a dedicated member of the Baptist faith, finding solace and community in his church.

Petey found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for golf, pool, and fishing, enjoying the moments spent in nature and the camaraderie shared with friends.

Petey is preceded in death by: his brother, Gerald Carver; brother-in-law David Ward; and nephew Russell Ward. While his physical presence may be gone, his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

The family will receive friends on April 13, 2024, from 5-7pm at Thomas Funeral Home, and a funeral will follow on April 14, 2024, at 2pm at the Chapel at Thomas Funeral Home. Rev. Channe Russell will officiate the funeral, and the pallbearers include: Josh Ward, Jason Mullins, Hunter Holmes, Brett Percey, Gage Mullins, and Garrison Mullins.
