Anthony A. Lalama

Anthony A. LaLama passed away peacefully, on May 11, 2025, at the age of 102, surrounded by his family. He now rests in the presence of the Lord, surrounded by those who went before him in faith and love.
Anthony will be lovingly remembered and cherished along with his late wife Josephine and his late son Dennis. He is survived by daughters Jean (Brian), and Nancy (Joseph); his grandchildren Joseph, Marisa, Julia, and Anthony, and extended family members and friends.
Anthony was known for his deep devotion to his family. As the patriarch, he was a source of wisdom and guidance; always nurturing and supportive. Exhibiting quiet strength and modesty, he found joy in simple pleasures - especially gardening - and took pride in his Italian heritage and traditions.
A gifted storyteller, Anthony passed down not only his family history but also his passions and life purpose, teaching his children and grandchildren valuable skills such as problem solving, innovative thinking, and a strong sense of discipline. He leaves behind a family strengthened by his love and shaped by his wisdom he instilled in all of us.
On Friday, May 16, 2025, Anthony's family will receive visitors from 3:00 p.m - 9:00 p.m. with 7:00 p.m. Rosary Service at Wujek-Calcaterra Funeral Home located at 36900 Schoenherr Rd., Sterling Heights, MI 48312.
Anthony will lie in state on Saturday, May 17, from 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at St. Veronica Catholic Church located at 21440 Universal Ave., Eastpointe, MI 48021, followed by a funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. and military honors and entombment at Resurrection Cemetery located at 18201 Clinton River Rd., Clinton Township, MI 48038.
