Anthony Frances Matisi

From the first time I met Anthony, probably at the Pub, he was always the friendliest guy with a great smile and a big voice. His interest in horses and the US Cavalry always gave us a lot to talk about. Really miss his great personality as he was so much larger than life.

Anthony, when you entered any room, you were 10 feet tall. You lived each day to the fullest and made a great life for yourself. You had a laugh that made everyone smile. You had a big heart and so much love bursting through your beautiful suits. You unconditionally brought joy to everyone you met. The loyalty you had to your family and to the Matisi name, made me proud to call you my friend. I will never forget you and always remember you. Hats off to you Anthony. I love you always, Kelly Kahler Ortiz.

We just found out about Anthony and his passing away. We are so sorry for your loss. You are very blessed to have shared 34 years together. Losing a loved one is very difficult and I hope you have the comfort of friends, family and fond memories to make this time a little easier. We are so glad we got to spend time with you and Anthony while on the river trip last summer. We'll never forget his colorful storytelling and infectious laugh!

Dear Vicky, was incredibly saddened to hear about Anthony. I started thinking about how long I have known you. I believe one of the first times I met you both was at 42nd Street. Brought a smile to my face. May the wonderful memories you have help to sustain you through this difficult time. My heartfelt sympathies to you.

My growing up was very wonderful as Anthony and I experienced wonderful families to help us learn about life . I couldn't have had a better friend we complemented each other . Thank you Tony I will see you again, and we gave San Mateo and supported football to the fullest.I know you will be missed thanks for being my friend growing up with you was

What a Guy. A good Friend. A ready laugh. A quick wit. A kind word. He wished to be no one but Anthony and he did that perfectly. My sincere condolences to Vicky and all of his Family and Friends.

Anthony was one of the best architects I've worked with and an even better person away from the office. Years ago we rode Cal Train to Gilroy and had some memorable times during the Thursday party car on the train. He was a good friend and I will miss him.

My sincere condolences go out to all of Anthony's family and friends. He was a unique individual and a talanted architect.

Anthony was a friend who touched and inspired everyone he met. I worked with him on several development projects where he was lead architect. Enormously talented, he lived life large and enjoyed every minute of it. He was the most positive minded person I have ever known. If a problem presented itself, Anthony response was always "Let's figure out how to fix this" and in no time he would offer a number of solutions. He was a great man and I will miss him.

We are saddened to hear the news today of Anthony's passing. He was a giving and fun-loving man. We have incredible memories of him. Our hearts and prayers go out to Vicky and all of his family and friends. There are no words to console those that have lost him. We will remember him as he is in this photo. Enjoying life.
