To the Messinas, you know how I feel and I can't imagine how you do. It's been over a month and it's still difficult for me to write this, but your son and brother was a goofy kid when I met him and an amazing honorable man when he left us, who I will always consider a little brother and good friend who I loved and respected. Some time would go by, over the years, between times that we'd see each other, but whenever we did, we caught up, told each other what all was going on and told each other some great stories. I will miss the big smile on his face and smart remark that followed when we would see each other because we shared that response in common for those we haven't seen for a while. It'll probably be a bit, my friend, but I'm gonna be expecting that same Tony Messina greeting when I see you. Say hi to your Mum for me and know how much we all loved you both. I'm sorry we didnt keep in touch I thought we had all the time in the world to catch up someday. Obviously I was wrong. You were one of my best friends. I wish I could've been there for you. Unfortunately l let my job get in the way. You had alot left to give to this world and your nieces and your nieces and nephews. But I know in your short time you had a positive effect on then. I wish I could be as good a man as you were for our country and in general.

BU1 Messina, I remember you as always kind, courteous, and and very hard worker at NOSC Pittsburgh. You will be dearly miss. You are in God's hands now. He will take care of you.
