In January of 1975, they welcomed their first child, Anthony. Ray and Jolanda relocated from Corrales to Farmington, NM where Ray worked for various companies. In September of 1978, they welcomed their second child, Matthew. Ray spent the next 42 years working as a union electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). Ray and Jolanda built a peaceful and beautiful life together in Bloomfield.
Ray will be remembered for his dedication to his job, teaching his sons how to fix everything, telling stories of his childhood, military years, and work experiences. He enjoyed four wheeling and working with his hands. Above all, he cherished the 51 years he spent with his wife.
