Anthony Morefield

Anthony Wayne Morefield, born on October 29, 2006, in Fort Wayne, passed away on July 12, 2023. Fondly known as Tony, he spent his formative years in and around his birthplace. Known for his funny demeanor and witty charm, Tony was a beacon of vibrant energy. A student by profession, he had a keen interest in a variety of activities. Tony loved working out at the gym, indulging in his favorite TV shows, playing video games, and had a special affection for reading. He collected knives and had a playful habit of picking on people, especially his dear grandma. Tony also enjoyed skateboarding and dominating all the other kids on the basketball court. He was very competitive and always knew how to have a good time! Tony was a loving and supportive figure to his family. When he wasn't spending time with his sisters or with his best friend AJ, Tony could be found spending time with his true love, Kensie. She was his favorite person ever. Tony is survived by his beloved mother, Heather Barrand; his father, Christopher (Elizabeth Sexton) Morefield; sisters, Haley, and Aryanah Morefield; brother, Aiden Jones; his grandmother, Roxanne (LeRoy) Dryer; his grandfather, Perry (Roberta) Barrand; his great-grandmother, Grace Barrand; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dylan Morefield; and grandparents, Bill and Rachel Morefield. A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Huntertown Chapel, 16830 Lima Road, Huntertown, Indiana 46748, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tony's honor can be made to Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in order to help cover any funeral expenses.
