Anthony Charles Muller II "Corky", 73, passed away on February 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 27, 1951, to Anthony "Chuck" Muller and the late Fran Muller.
Corky is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ethel Muller; children, Ellen Jackson (Scott), A.C. Muller III (Kinsey), Joseph Muller (Mandi); siblings, Barry Muller (Carolyn), Cathey Kersey (Carmack), Jerome Muller (Denise), Jude Barrineau (Cliff), Mary Fran Ferry (Ross); grandchildren, Caroline Jackson, Bailey Jackson, Micah Muller, Parker Muller, Ezra Muller, Obadiah Muller, Maranatha Muller, Norah Muller, Reuben Muller, Emlyn Jackson, Kellen Muller; and thirteen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, baby Rebecca Michelle; and brother, Joe Muller.
A devoted member of Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church, Corky was a man of unwavering faith. He graduated from Charlotte Catholic High School in 1969 and earned his Bachelor's Degree in 1973 from Belmont Abbey College. He dedicated 32 years of his life to Ford Motor Company before retiring.
Corky was a man of quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering loyalty. He lived his life in service to others, always putting family first. His siblings fondly recall him as kind, gentle, and generous-the male version of their beloved mother. As the eldest of seven, he was a role model and guiding hand to his younger siblings, always ready with love and support.
He was a loving husband, a dedicated father, and a doting grandfather who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was enjoying a round of golf, indulging in his favorite peanuts, cheering for his teams at live sports events, or soaking up the sun at the beach, he embraced every moment with gratitude. Above all, he cherished his family, finding true happiness in their love and laughter. His love for Christmas was legendary, his booming, "HO, HO, HO, Merry Christmas!" filling his home with warmth and joy each year.
Corky's legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched. His kindness, humor, and generosity will never be forgotten. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church, 292 Munn Road East, Fort Mill, SC 29715. Following the service, a reception will take place, with the committal service to follow at Philadelphia UMC Cemetery, 1691 SC-160, Fort Mill, SC 29708.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the Anthony C. Muller Scholarship Fund at Belmont Abbey College, Office of College Relations, 100 Belmont-Mt. Holly Road, Belmont, NC, 28012.
