Anthony M. Munafo

Coach Munafo wasone of the best football coaches in Ohio. Along with that his sense of humor was second to none! I coached in the North - South game with Tony in 1988. We laughed for two straight weeks but he also bestowed his wisdom on me. I was a young coach at the time and he became not only a good friend but a mentor as well. My thoughts and prayers to the entire Munafo family. Oh yea! Tony visitewd my house in Fremont a number of times as we drank Manhattens and ate Italian sausage!

What a great man. I will always be thankful to Coach Munafo. I played football at rival St. Mary's and we could never beat him because of his creative offensive scheme - I believe Huron had beaten St. Mary's for 13 or 14 straight years. When St. Mary's finally beat Huron my Junior year, Coach Munafo was the one who put me up for conference awards even though he was the coach of a rival team. What a class act. Never forgot that. Will also always remember him from wrestling, and his sons from both sports. Great family.
