Anthony Pupo Obituary
Born in Pittsfield, MA, to the late Jimmy Pupo and Mary Pagliei Pupo, Mr. Pupo grew up in Pittsfield. He graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from Lowell Tech, now named UMass at Lowell, in 1966 and was drafted into the Army as a helicopter engine mechanic from 1966 to 1969. In 1969, he began working as an engineer in the aviation industry for Pratt and Whitney, and General Dynamics. In 1971 thru 2004, he worked as an outside plant engineer in the telephone industry.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 48 years, Robbie Long Pupo; his sister Mary Moore; nephew Michael Moore and niece Lori Moore of Pittsfield, MA; step-son Don Johnson; son, Tony Pupo, Jr.; granddaughters, Maria Pupo (Andrew Murphy), Lacey Bates (Wade), Jessica Pupo (Billy Bunn); and 11 great-grandchildren, Savannah Bates, Leila Bates, Trace Bates, Makynzlee Mitchell, Masyn Mitchell, Ryver Murphy, Ryder Murphy, Axyl Murphy, Cam Bunn, Grayson Bunn, Addison Bunn.
Services and burial were held in Byron, GA with Rev. Tony Pupo officiating.
