He was born on February 14, 1963, in Anderson County to Viola Robinson and the late Alvin Robinson Sr. From a young age, he developed a passion for mechanics and could often be found under the hood of a car. He had a love for Fords and Nascar Car Racing.
Ant's humor, jokes and attitude left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He was truly one of a kind. When he wasn't cracking a joke, he was likely listening to old-school music, including favorites like Chuck Berry, Otis Redding, and many others.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Hoover Robinson; daughters, Cassandra (Tywon) and Jalisa (Leon) Hoover; and granddaughters, Myasia, Isobella, Janelle, and Amira Campbell. He also leaves behind his siblings: Melissa Mark, Patricia (Jack) Groves, Alvin (Mary) Robinson Jr., Vietonia (Claudell) Clinkscales, Steven Robinson, Sandra Ward, John (Barbara) Kay, and Calvin Harris. Additional survivors include sisters-in-law Gloria (Gerald) Porter and Sandra Hoover; brother-in-law Michael (Diane) Williams; aunts Marvenia Liddell, Faye Williams, and Lillie Harris; and uncles Stanley Robinson, Calvin Harrison and Orlando Mcgruder.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Robinson Sr.; parents-in-law, Matthew and Barbara William Hoover; grandparents, R.E. and Jetheree Walker Robinson, and James and Rosalee Bradley Harris Hall; brothers-in-law Americus Mark, Nathaniel, Joseph, James, and Woodrow Hoover and Chester Ward; sister-in-law Carolyn (Nathaniel) Williams; and nephews Nathan Robinson, Terrell Williams, Willie, and Antonio Strong.
The Robinson family will be receiving visitors at locations, 124 Farmer St., Anderson, SC, 29621 and 109 Hillside Circle, Iva, SC, 29655.
