Anthony Savoca Jr.

Anthony Savoca, 86, of Lithia Florida, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025. Born June 27, 1938 to Antonio and Josephine Savoca in Staten Island, New York. He was a devoted husband to Madeline and a loving father to Debra, Anthony attended Port Richmond High School and there he was affectionately given the name Gumpy. After graduation, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in France where he served as an Account & Finance Specialist. After four years of service he was honorably discharged and returned back to the U.S. where he completed his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Business Administration. Anthony worked on Wall Street for over thirty years focusing on corporate Accounting and Internal Audit. Anthony and Madeline married in June of 1963. As a couple, they thoroughly enjoyed going out to dinner with their friends, vacationing in Aruba and being members of the Mid-Island Social Club. He was also a committed baseball fan and enjoyed watching the New York Yankees. Anthony was preceded in death by his wife Madeline in early 2018. He is survived by his daughter Debra Vanderveer, son-in-law Robert Vanderveer and grandchild Isabella Vanderveer. Viewing will be held at Serenity Meadows in Riverview, Florida from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm on Wednesday March 26, 2025. Service will be held at the same location at 10am on Thursday March 27th and burial to follow.
