Worked with Sony in the early days in the east district and again in the later years in the North district. Sony was a great guy, great backup and a cops cop. Jimmy cowan.

My sincerest sympathy and condolences to the Silver Family. Sonny was a dedicated and courageous member of the Jersey City Police Department. Sonny took pleasure in addressing and finding positive solutions to community concerns no matter how big or small. On a personal level I always enjoyed speaking with him after a Ranger game or his beloved Packers. In simplest terms Sonny was a " real good Jersey City guy".
