Anthony Paul Strnad, Sr., a figure of resilience and unwavering strength, passed away surrounded by his family at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland, OH on June 25th, 2024. Born on October 24th, 1947, in Cleveland, OH, Tony's journey was one of perseverance, marked by both personal and physical challenges that he faced head-on with remarkable courage.
A laborer by trade, Tony's work ethic was unparalleled. Even after facing the profound loss of his beloved wife, Char, and the life-altering loss of his leg, he persevered in his trade work, a testament to his resilience and determination to overcome the obstacles life threw his way.
Tony cherished the time spent with his siblings, children, grandchildren, and cousins at his brother Billy's cottage in Jamestown, PA. He was an avid reader, often immersing himself in several books a week, and he had a particular fondness for watching Westerns.
He is survived by his loving children, Anthony Strnad Jr. (Suzanne), Nina Fillar (Joe Thistlewood), and Ronald Strnad. Grandchildren, Danielle, Amber, Erica, AJ, Nick, Nicole, Brittany, Alyssa, Chris, Rachel, and Dillon, along with many great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Also, his best buddy and cousin, Connie Morgan ("Cookie").
Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Char Strnad, daughter Rhonda Strnad, parents, William and Catherine (Lyons) Strnad, and his brothers, William and Ronald Strnad.
Tony's passing brings a profound sense of peace, as he is no longer suffering. There is no more pain for him; he is made whole again with two working legs and has been joyfully reunited with his loved ones in eternity. A celebration of life will be held at Jeanne's on 36219 Vine St. Willowick, OH 44095.on July 14, 2024, from 2-6pm.
