Anthony "Tony" Stucchi Sr.

Anthony "Tony" Stucchi, Sr., 93, a longtime resident of Holliston, died Friday, January 31, 2025 with his family by his side. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Camillo & Maria (Moretti) Stucchi, and the beloved husband of Gretchen M. (Carey) Stucchi.
Tony was raised and educated in Framingham, and for a short time worked for the Dennison Manufacturing company before serving his country honorably in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War, where he would learn his trade as an electrician. He and Gretchen married in 1969 and settled in Holliston where they would raise their five children. A hard working, quietly confident, and devoted family man, Tony worked for over 40 years at Perini Corporation in Framingham and was a proud member of the IBEW Local 103. True to his trade and his depression era upbringing, he could fix just about anything and took great pride in teaching his handyman abilities to his children.
Tony was a man of few words with a giant heart. He had dry sense of humor which was always punctuated by a twinkle in his eye and a heartwarming smile. He was an avid candle pin bowler and belonged to the St. Tarcisius bowling team for more than 50 years. Tony was a fan of all Boston sports teams, but mostly the Patriots and the Red Sox. Tony was a night owl, you could always find him watching movies late into the night and sleeping late into the next day. Tony was always up for an adventure with his family and enjoyed road trips, monster trucks and classic car shows, and canoe rides on the lake.
Happiness and family went hand in hand for Tony. Spending time together was his priority. Tony is survived by his wife, "Sweet Sweet Gretchen" of Holliston, his daughter, Melissa Dyson and her husband Dan of Auburn; his sons, Tony Jr. and his wife Cammy of Watertown MN; Peter and his wife Nikki of Wellington CO; Robert and his wife Gina of Holliston; and Jim and his wife Jennifer of Holliston; his 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandson - all of whom cherished the special time with their "Nonno". Tony was also lovingly known as "The Big Brown Bear" to them all: Cayden, Brynn, Danny and his wife Emily, Michelle, Devin, Kylan, Jace, Maxine Rose, Anthony James, Connie, Tea, Greyson, and Torin, and great grandson, Levi. All of whom brought him immense joy. He loved to share his favorite soft peppermints with anyone who came to visit him, and the wrappers can be found in every grandchild's pocket on the way out of the house.
Tony is also survived by his siblings, Elena Bolduc, Robert Stucchi and Florence Wales as well as many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. Tony was predeceased by his daughter Mary, and his siblings, Jennie Bonasaro, Peter Stucchi, Gilda Stucchi, and Grace Magrini.
Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Tony's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Norton, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. Framingham on Thursday, February 6th from 4-7PM. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly St. Framingham on Friday morning at 11AM. Interment will follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery.
