Anthony Stephen "Tony" Taterka

Tony Taterka, loving brother of Robin Taterka; Christine (Jeff) Gross; Sandie (Kip) Voigt; and Bob (Joanne) Taterka. He was a cherished uncle to Anthony (Bonnie), James, Cassie (Mike), and Philip (Megan), and a doting great-uncle to Honor May and Juel Lane. Tony was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Harriet and Robert Taterka.

Tony leaves behind a legacy of professionalism as a highly skilled HVAC technician. Throughout his career, he stubbornly resisted wearing a uniform shirt with a name patch; however, his work ethic and conscientiousness quickly became the identifier that earned him the respect and trust of those with whom he interacted.

Tony will long be remembered by many as a loyal and
non-judgmental friend. He loved spending time in the Edgerton, Wisconsin area, exploring ATV trails and forging life-long connections. Although he was physically strong, Tony could not hide his gentle side, especially when someone he cared about needed help. His fearless spirit and sense of humor will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 9:00 to 11:00 am with 11:00 am prayers at Northern Illinois Funeral Services 31632 N. Ellis Drive Unit 209 Volo, IL 60073. Burial will follow at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles, IL.
