Tony gave me guitar lessons when I was young. He always gave me advice on life that was way more important than a guitar lesson. Amazing teacher and just a genuinely good person.
I remember one day there were just too many negative things on my mind. I just wasn't having it with the lesson. So, he started to make paper airplanes and lit them on fire and threw them out the window into a river to see how far they could go. We did that for about 20 minutes and then he just said "GO! try what we were talking about on guitar". Got it first try.
Whenever I saw him, he always acted like it was yesterday we last hung out. Unfortunately, it was a while. Man, do I wish.... yeah.
RIP Tony.

RIP Tony. I just now found out about his passing. As a young man he played at my July 4th parties, I was always amazed at his enthusiasm for music. Truly gifted...

Tony was always so kind and endearing when we would see him on the food truck at Echo Hill Farm. He always knew what you liked. Such a talent to remember people in this way. He will be missed.

When me and my twin brother were in middle school, Mr. Valley made a club for the after school program for students to learn how to play guitar. My brother now plays guitar for Boston College marching band, and although we left Palmer in 2019 my brother and I always remembered how patient and compassionate he was to teach kids genuine skills for life. I am so sorry for your loss

Tony was a brilliant musician. Even better, he was an incredible human. Tony made everyone feel like the most important person in the room. Even though I probably haven´t seen him in 30 years, I know if we ran into each other, we could pick up right back where we left off. He will be sorely missed.
My condolences and love to his family and friends.
