My condolences to the family of Tony Vila. I knew Tony from the time I bought my house on 74th Street over fifty years ago. I always enjoyed the many conversations relevant to life and politics in his kitchen. Tony was a very intelligent and informed person. Tony would say let´s have a beer and we would toast to good health. I jokingly called him the mayor of Maspeth and actually voted for him for Mayor of NY. We was a good man and a dear friend. Barbara and I will miss him and he will be in our prayers.
