Anthony E. Watkins M.D.

Dr. Watkins was a pillar at Washington Hospital Center. He was one of a few mentors of color at Washington Hospital Center. He was very important to me as a medical student, resident and attending at Washington Hospital Center. His wisdom, kindness and care of patients was a great example of what it meant to be a physician.

He was a shinning star. One we all should aspire to.

I am quite sorry to learn of Tony's death. He was a dedicated doctor and a friend. He also had a wry sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. My wife and I pray for his family as they mourn his loss. Alvin Thomas
