Anton P. "Tony" Chadima Jr., 68, passed away October 19, 2024 with family by his side. Born in Garfield Heights, Ohio to Tony Chadima and Nancy Rogers Cathel, he resided in the Akron, Ohio area all of his life. Tony worked as an auto mechanic his entire adult life. He enjoyed watching the Indians, working on cars, helping friends renovate houses, classic monster movies, going for long drives and spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother, Tony was preceded in death by his step-brother, Tommy Cathel. He will be sadly missed by his children, Tommy (Jill) Chadima, Lindsey Suzelis (Tim Smith); grandsons, Matthew, Luc, Aaron, Alexander; father, Tony Chadima; brothers, Bill Howell, Brett Bell; countless cousins and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, October 25, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Tony's name to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital. To share a memory of Tony or leave a special message for his family, visit the guest book below.
