Antonia V. Garcia age 76, passed away peacefully and was embraced by the Lord on Saturday December 13, 2025 after a 6-year journey with dementia. Up until then Antonia maintained a spirit of courage, tenacity, perseverance, kindness, grace, compassion, laughter and an appreciation of beauty, and love of family. Antonia was a seamstress at Farah for about three years and afterwards resigned to be a domestic engineer. She was a devoted wife and mother who unwaveringly served her family with love and grace. Antonia left a legacy of love and faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to be passed down for the generations that follow. A woman who exemplified the meaning of strength and boldness. A woman who would always, somehow manage to laugh through her pain. Her infectious laughter would bring joy to others daily and especially at family celebrations. You were the pillar of our home, the glue that cemented us together. Rest in knowing that we will remain strong and that our family bond and love for God will be intertwined in our hearts. Thank you for your unfailing love.
A Virtuous Woman is who you are. Proverbs 31: 10-31: Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So, he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life. She seeks wool and flax, and willingly works with her hands. She is like the merchant ships; she brings her food from afar. She also rises while it is yet night, and provides food for her household, and a portion for her maidservants. She considers a field and buys it; from her profits she plants a vineyard. She girds herself with strength, and strengthens her arms. She perceives that her merchandise is good, and her lamp does not go out by night. She stretches out her hands to the distaff, and her hand holds the spindle. She extends her hand to the poor, yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of snow for her household. For all her household is clothed with scarlet. She makes tapestry for herself; her clothing is fine linen and purple. Her husband in known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies sashes for the merchants. Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness. She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: "Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all." Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.
She is preceded in death by her brother Nicholas, her mother Ignacia, father Jose, her sister Rosalia and brother Jose Jr. Antonia is survived by her husband of 55 years Santos Garcia, (3) children Rosa, Rebecca and David, (2) siblings Beatriz and Rosendo, (7) grandchildren Jessica, Priscilla, Sarah, Ashley, Jessie, Issac, Abraham, (8) great grandchildren Amber, Alyssa, Christopher, Alahni, Angel, Ezekiel, Gabriel and Ivy. Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 22nd, Visitation from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Perches Funeral Home, 7580 Alameda Ave. 79915. Burial will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson 79906 at 2:30p.m.
