Antonia Del Valle, 83, of Brooklyn, NY, entered unto eternal rest on November 5, 2022. Antonia was born on June 12, 1939 in Caguas, Puerto Rico to Eva Feliciano Pedraza and Gregorio Quinones Aquino. She was widowed from her husband, Jesus Del Valle Nieves since 2004. She is survived by two of her four children, Norma I. Cotto and Lucy Del Valle-Cordova, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, and three sons-in-law. She is also survived by three brothers, three sisters, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Our mother was a special woman, who sacrificed herself for others in so many ways. She had the kindest and giving heart and was always there for her family. Her family was her treasure, as she has shown through her selfless acts all throughout her life. She loved her family gatherings, and enjoyed music, as much as dancing and cooking her special meals. She loved her domino games and her walks through Botannical Gardens. Many knew her as "Toña", or of course, mom, mami, grandma, and the special "aya". She was small and seemed fragile but was the strongest woman I have ever known. From her immediate family, she lost her mother Eva, her husband Jesus, two of her four children (Nereida Cruz Cotto and Victor M. Cotto), and 2 grandchildren (Christopher Cotto and Deirdre A. Cotto), and yet was still tough enough to try to protect and care for the rest of her family. We lost our matriarch but she will always live in us and will never be forgotten. We all love you mom!
