Antonietta Izzo, 82, of Meriden, CT, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 16, 1943, in Formicola, Caserta, Italy, to the late Francesco Molarella and Maria Parillo.
Antonietta resided in Meriden, CT, and attended school in Italy. She was employed by The Napier Company and AGC Inc. before her retirement. She was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Antonietta found joy in the rhythms of Italian music, tending to her beloved fig tree and grapevine, and the old-world tradition of drying homemade sausage. Above all, her happiest moments were those spent surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Izzo; her daughter, Maria Izzo; daughter-in-law, Samantha Izzo; grandchildren, Rinaldo Izzo, Melissa Izzo-Aviles, Luca Izzo, and Lorenzo Izzo; and great-grandchildren, Matteo Aviles, Maverick Aviles, and Mila Aviles. She also leaves behind her sisters, Carmella Domenico and Nicolina Domenico; and her sister-in-law, Rosa Molarella; as well as two nieces, one nephew, and many more relatives in Italy.
Antonietta was predeceased by her husband, Rinaldo Izzo; her son, Frank Izzo; her sister, Giovanna Molarella; her brother, Carmine Molarella; her daughter-in-law, Esterina Izzo; and her nephew, Pasquale Molarella.
Calling hours were held on Tuesday (Yesterday), November 11th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday (TODAY), November 12th, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 109 Goodwill Avenue, Meriden, CT 06451. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
