Antonio "Tony" Greco

Antonio “Tony” Greco, 68 of Rocky Mount, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Lewis Gale Hospital surrounded by his family. Tony was born August 31, 1953 in Rocca di Neto, Calabria, Italy. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Francesco and Anna Greco, Sam Braenovich, brother-in-law and niece Donna Braenovich. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shelia Greco of 37 years; one sister Frances (John) Corigliano; six brothers, Tommy (Miriam) Greco, Al (Pina) Greco, Luigi (Rhonda) Greco, Mario (Jovie) Greco, Dominick (Sabrina) Greco, Steve Greco; many special nephews and nieces, Patricia, Joey, GianFranco, Adrianna, Frank, Tommy, Anna, Danielle, Juliann, Luigi, Frank, Toni, Anna, Michael and Brooke. Tony’s family extended to 2 brother in laws and 2 sister in laws to include Stanley (Debra) Braenovich, Steve (Sharon) Braenovich, Sandra Braenovich and Janie Braenovich with many nephews and nieces Jesse, Christopher, Angela, Brianna, Paula, Maggie and Jai. Special friends that were family includes Kerry Curran, Blaze Catalano, Anthony Petretti, Jimmy Luccisano, Jimmy Holtz, Jerry Greer, Jay Greer, Barry Cooper, Dennis Lynch, Brittany Simmons, Jourdan Thomas, Cort Thomas, Shirley Thomas, Buddy Simmons, and so many others he enjoyed seeing and talking with. Tony was born in Italy and the family moved to Brooklyn/Queens, New York in 1962 where he grew up and worked at Auction Outlet Lumber Yard before moving to Rocky Mount, Virginia where he co-owned and worked at Frank’s Pizza and Lou’s Pizza and Deli for 40 years. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Angels of Assisi in memory of Tony Greco. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Conner-Bowman Funeral Home & Crematory, 62 VA Market Place Drive. Mass will be conducted Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 11:00am at the Church of Transfiguration, 7624 Roanoke Road, Fincastle, VA 24090 with Reverend Father Stephen McNally officiating.
