Antonio Montone

Montone, Antonio, owner of Tony Montone Contractor in Franklin Square, passed away Monday, October 20, 2025 Antonio was born to Giovanni and Carmela Montone in Savoia di Lucania, Italy, January 13, 1938. He met the love of his life Maria Lepore on October 16th 1959 in Vietri di Potenza 66 years ago. They were married January 18 1962, and came to Bronx New York in July 1966. Antonio worked as a self employed contractor for over 40 years. He moved to Franklin Square in 1976. Antonio was a skilled artisan and he touched so many people's lives that he entered, he will be sorely missed and forever remembered. Antonio is survived by his wife of 66 years, Maria Montone (Lepore); his daughter Carmela Salvatore, with her husband, Rocco, and their children, Rocco and Christina, his daughter, Frances Caravello with her husband, Joseph, and their children, Francesca, and John, his daughter Joann Levell with her husband Arturo and their children Frank, Kaylah, Maxwell, and his great granddaughter Gabriella, and his daughter Antoinette Nelson ; many nephews and nieces; and many friends. Antonio will be remembered at the Franklin Funeral Home, 42 New Hyde Park Road Franklin Square, NY 110103610,Viewing hour's are between 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, on Sunday Oct 26th. A funeral mass will be held Monday, October 27, 2025 10:30AM, St Catherine of Sienna Roman Catholic Church 990 Holzheimer St Franklin Square, NY 11010, followed by entombment at Pinelawn Memorial Park 2030 Wellwood Ave Farmingdale, NY 11735. In lieu of flowers Antonios family has requested donations be sent in his name to American Heart Association
